CSTOCK Rocks the Ridge

We just couldn’t wait to get started at Ridgetop! Central Stage Theatre Academy is our newest programming partnership with Central Kitsap School District, and we’re off to a vibrant and wildly animated start.  All students from Ridgetop Middle School and Silver Ridge Elementary are eligible to participate in this program, which culminates in a musical production each spring. We currently perform in the Ridgetop Commons, which will soon be transformed into the lobby, art gallery, and box office for our new community/school theater.

Central Stage Theatre Academy is an integral first step in Ridgetop’s campus-wide transition to a School-of-Choice for the Arts.  With arts education at the heart and soul of our blended missions, CKSD and Central Stage are creating innovative on and off-stage learning environment that promotes critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

For three decades, Central Stage students and families have realized many positive outcomes and life lessons from their experiences, including stronger communication skills, boosted self-esteem, healthier rapport with teachers and classmates, improved academic engagement, increased creativity and problem-solving skills, and an expanded sense of tolerance and respect for others.  Locating at Ridgetop increases our ability to expose students to the magic of live theatre, while creating a safe, workshop-like environment for them to experiment with new talents and abilities.
