Our Town is one of the quintessential American plays. It is an unconventional work in that it has no scenery or props except tables, chairs, ladders, and a few objects. The story is told by the 'stage manager', a sort of narrator who takes on different personas during the play. He tells the story of George and Emily, two young people who grow up in Grovers Corners. Their lives and the lives of their families and friends are told from their youth to the death of Emily. Heartbreaking yet hopeful, Our Town is sure to bring tears of joy and sorrow to your eyes.
