GODSPELL
April 26, 2002 - May 19, 2002
Directed by
Greg Williams

Based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, GODSPELL is one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time. Featuring a sparkling score by Stephen Schwartz, GODSPELL boasts a string of recognizable songs, led by the international hit, “Day By Day.” As the cast makes its way through “Prepare Ye The Way of the Lord,” “Save The People,” “Learn Your Lessons Well,” and more, the audience sees the parables of Jesus Christ come humanly and hearteningly to life.

Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics, and vaudeville, this production is a groundbreaking and unique reflecton on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance, and love.
Featured in the folk-rock production are Steve Lager as Jesus and Christopher Borer as John the Baptist. Others in the ensemble cast are Hannah Burbank, Evan Brown, Anna Chollar, Dan Estes, Ingrid Markham, Alena Menefee, Matt Mitchell, Brandon Myers, Kate O'Hearn, and Chrissy Petoff, each appearing in various roles.

GODSPELL is Director Greg Williams sixth musical production at CSTOCK, with wife Cindi Williams as his stage manager. Directing the band will be Trina Williamson, with vocal direction provided by Bob Forman. Choreography was designed and rehearsed by Lara Littlefield. Margie Kluth coordinated the costumes for the show, Quinn Davis did the mural artwork, and Dale Borer designed the lights. In addition to his directing responsibilities, Greg Williams also designed and built the set.

This production opens April 26 and runs through May 19 with Friday and Saturday performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday’s performance at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children 11 and under, and are available at the Kitsap Mall Customer Service Booth. All performances are at the CSTOCK theatre in the Silverdale Community Center at 9729 Silverdale Way. Theatre Information Line is 692-9940 or check here at the website.
