"Cinderella"
Kids for Kids Theatre
Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers and Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm, and elegance. Originally produced as a television special in 1958 (with Julie Andrews) and again in 1965 (with Lesley Ann Warren), this production boasts as good a score as any that Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits.
Costs of this production are underwritten by a grant award from the Silverdale Target Store, who has provided major financial support for the children's programs at CSTOCK for the past 4 years. This production opens July 7 and runs through July 30 with Friday and Saturday performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday's performance at 6 p.m. Watch for a coupon special ad in local papers for the performance on Sunday, July 9. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children 11 and under, and are available at the Kitsap Mall Customer Service Booth. All performances are at the CSTOCK theatre in the Silverdale Community Center at 9729 Silverdale Way. Theatre Information Line is 692-9940.
