First place award of $500 was given to Kathleen Beemer of Bainbridge High School. Especially noted by her drama director were her performances in Man of La Mancha, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and the musical adaptation of Two Gentlemen of Verona. Kathleen plans to attend C. W. Post campus of Long Island University where she will major in theatre.
The $250 second place award was given to Hannah Burbank, Central Kitsap High School. Hannah first appeared on stage in CSTOCK's production of Scheherazade. She subsequently performed in productions of A Christmas Carol, Brigadoon, Cinderella, Grease, How to Succeed in Business, Meet Me in St. Louis, State Fair, and Godspell. Hannah will attend the University of Washington in the fall as a music major.
The $500 CSTOCK/Ray Abundis Technical Support/Musician Scholarship was awarded to Olympic High School Jennifer Breckel. Jennifer has performed in Oklahoma, Pippin, How to Succeed in Business, and State Fair, and worked backstage for Meet Me in St. Louis. She will continue her education at Missouri Valley College, and will continue to participate in theatre and dance.
