At the May 15 performance of Into The Woods, the first place scholarship award of $500 from the Laura Sullivan Memorial Scholarship was given toBremerton High School Senior Dan Gomez. Dan has been active in the drama program at Bremerton High School, and appeared in productions of Grease, Oliver, M.A.S.H., and most recently, Kiss Me Kate. He will attend Pacific Lutheran University in the fall majoring in communications and theatre.
The second award of $250 from the Sullivan Scholarship went to Olympic High School Senior Christopher Borer, who has been a CSTOCK regular for the past few years. Chris first appeared at CSTOCK in the "Kids for Kids" production of Once Upon A Mattress. He was also in Big River and played the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz. In addition to his on-stage work, Chris has been very active in the light booth for productions of Camelot, Oliver, The Sound of Music, and Into The Woods. Chris plans to attend George Fox University in the fall.
A $500 award from the Ray Abundis Technical/Theatre Arts Scholarship was awarded to Tiffany "T.J." Clement, who has performed at the piano A Christmas Carol this past year. T.J. will be the musical director for the upcoming children's production of Scheherazade and plans on majoring in music performance and education at Central Washington University in the fall.
