Ticket Prices Going Up!

Over the past 8 to 10 years, CSTOCK has been able to maintain a consistent ticket price of $8 for adults and $6 for children, with the discount punchcard at $60 for 10 punches. Over this past summer, the Board of Directors has taken under consideration whether it was time to raise prices to cover the increased cost of our productions. Among the issues discussed were:

• Increase in overall cost of productions of 25 percent
• Effect of raising prices to our family audience
• Impact on fundraisers because of potential increase in cost to buy the house
• Impact on punchcard
• Cost of tickets at other theatres in the area

After three monthly Board meetings where all options were considered and discussed, the decision was made to raise prices to $10 for adults; maintain the $6 price for children 11 and under; and raise the punchcard to $80 for 10 punches. This price increase will become effective on January 1, 2002. All punchcards purchased before that date will be honored for tickets until used.
