Remembering Bob Dunphy

Along with the rest of the Kitsap County theatre community, the CSTOCK family mourns the death of one of our most active theatre performers. Bob Dunphy had performed on almost every community theatre stage in Kitsap County. His most recent appearance on the CSTOCK stage was in OLIVER in the fall of 1998. He had also appeared in CSTOCK productions of West Side Story, Show Boat, Gypsy, My Fair Lady, Sullivan & Gilbert, Big River, and A Christmas Carol. When not performing on stage, Bob was always ready to lend a hand backstage or building a set or selling tickets in the lobby.

Bob had also been active in theatre in California where he was stationed during his 20-year career in the U.S. Navy. He had also done a number of radio spots, commercials, and several television shows, including Northern Exposure. A few years ago Bob did a one-man show as Mark Twain that he was very proud of, and some of you may have seen him in his most latest role in the production of Wrong Turn at Lungfish at Poulsbo Players. All who knew Bob recognized that his often gruff exterior only protected his very gentle heart. Bob will be greatly missed by all his CSTOCK friends. Our most sincere condolences go to his wife of 47 years, Rosa, along with his five children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren
