Gary has been involved as an actor in theater and film since 1976. Behind the scenes he has directed, stage managed, played drums and percussion, designed and run lights, designed and built sets, designed and created costuming, and choreographed. Gary has worked for more than 40 directors at over 20 venues in three States and one foreign country.
Away from theater, Gary enjoys photography, outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with friends and family at his Cascade Mt. cabin near the Alpine Lakes area. He continues to sing in the choir at Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church (for over 30 years) and directed their English Handbell Choir for ten years. He has lead a number of mission trips on three continents.
Gary played percussion and timpani in the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra in Texas and the Bremerton Symphony in Washington. He has performed with a number of musical groups in seven States and two foreign countries. Gary is a retired public school teacher, teaching elementary school for 30 years as well as teaching High School math and coaching HS football.
He is also a retired Naval Flight Officer having flown in P-2Vs and P-3s in Vietnam. As a Tactical Coordinator and Mission Commander, Gary flew combat operations, Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), intelligence, Search and Rescue (SAR), and surface surveillance missions in Southeast Asia, the Pacific and Indian Oceans to the south and west, the Bering Sea to the north and, the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea to the east. He also located and tracked Soviet submarines during the Cold War.
